What is archbold stadium syracuse?

Archbold Stadium was a stadium that was situated at Syracuse, New York. It opened in 1907 and was used by Syracuse University for football until it was demolished in 1978. At its peak, it had a seating capacity of 40,000 and was home to the university's football team, the Syracuse Orange. Some of the famous events that took place at Archbold Stadium were the 1959 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I football team and the final game played in 1978 against Miami that was broadcast nationally on ABC television. After its demolition, the Carrier Dome was built in its place, which serves as the current home of Syracuse football.
